Death of Futurism, Wired Magazine, 2003
Wired contracted me to make this illustration for an article about the collapse of futurism. The article suggests that there is a shortage of big thinkers in today's specialized science world. The article called to mind a forgotten future. I used imagery of sort-of World's Fair in ruin to convey a departure from the promised hopes of the era of an optimistic future. You can read the article online here.
